Welcome to the Phoenix Users Group community web site. The goal of this site is to provide a timely exchange of useful information among members of the Phoenix Users Group.

 PUG Mission Statement   The purpose of the Phoenix Users Group is to form a collective voice with the ability to communicate the users' needs more effectively and influence the direction of software development in the property and casualty industry. The group also provides an organizational structure which promotes the timely exchange of useful information among its members.

 Dear Phoenix Customer:

 In February, Vertafore announced a realignment shifting its focus from product lines to market segments.  For the carrier market this change was most visible in the combination of the ImageRight and Phoenix User Group conferences into one Vertafore Connection Conference.  Held in Atlanta in August of this year, the conference was a great opportunity for the Phoenix clients to experience the One Vertafore realignment firsthand by attending sessions, working in the interactive lab, and networking with other carriers and Vertafore employees.  It was also a great opportunity for the Vertafore team in Portland, ME, to present our 3 P’s: Phoenix, PremiumBill and Portal Server, to an expanded carrier audience.

On the last day of the conference, the Phoenix User Group Executive Committee made a decision to disband, citing the positive changes with One Vertafore and the combined user group conference.  While it makes sense for Vertafore to focus its efforts on the entire spectrum of solutions for our carrier customers, we don’t want to lose the client interaction that the User Group provided.

Recognizing the value that the user group provided, we would like to continue some of the most popular services as well as extend them to the entire Phoenix user base.  In the near term, we intend to maintain the Phoenix User Group website (PUG) as well as the Vertafore Carrier Community site (VCC).  Customers have found value in the forums, announcements, and document download and we agree that it is a good idea to keep these features.  Further down the road, our goal is to bring all Vertafore customers together through a unified customer portal.

In order to maintain client involvement and input, Vertafore Portland is looking for customers to serve on an advisory group.  The focus of the advisory group will be to improve communication and to better the understanding between Vertafore Portland and our user base.  A monthly conference call will be established to communicate information on current releases, strategic production direction and Vertafore updates, and to get feedback from our customers.  We are looking for 10-12 members representing a cross-section of the user base to participate.  We invite each carrier with interest to nominate an employee to serve on the group.  We’re eager to get this started, so please send your nominees to me (memmert@vertafore.com) by November 16, 2009.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call me.
