FAQ
Membership Benefits

As a company that purchased the Phoenix processing system, you have the opportunity to join the Phoenix Users Group (PUG).  As a member of PUG, you get to take advantage of the following:

  • Monthly Roundtable Conference Calls
  • Online Discussion Forum (Talknet)
  • Annual Conference
  • This web site
  • Special Conference Calls
  • Focus Groups

As a cohesive user community we are often able to collectively influence the development and product strategies of Phoenix in ways that would be difficult to do as a single customer.

Annual Conference

The Phoenix Users Group conference is held each year in the New England region in order to allow as many possible AMS Services employees to attend and interact with the user community.  Having direct access during the conference to many AMS Services employees is a tremendous way to get your issues and concerns heard.

The conference lasts 3 days with several group events taking place.  At the heart of the conference are the ever-popular break-out sessions, which are developed by the user community for the user community.  In the past, we've had sessions that focus on new features in Phoenix, best practices in Phoenix and many other topics.

Each year we also have panel discussions where users and companies can learn how others in the community handle specific issues from a both technical and business perspective.

And we always have great turnout from the vendor community that supports and enhances Phoenix.

We try to keep the cost of the conference low in order to encourage as many of your employees to attend.

Monthly Roundtable Calls

Each month, the four Subgroups each have a separate conference call to allow members the opportunity to find out about the status of Phoenix and to hear how about what is happending at other member companies in relation to Phoenix.

Each call discusses any items that were discussed in the Talknet forums during the month to help ensure resolution of any problems.

Currently the four subgroups are:

  • Billing
  • Policy
  • Claims
  • Tools/Technical

The minutes from each call are available here at the community web site.

Discussion Forums

The discussion forums are a private online discussion area for PUG members to discuss their issues.  By taking advantage of the forums, you get access to the collective knowledge of the entire community.  Oftentimes, other members are able to respond to your question with suggestions and code that resolves your issue.

In addition, the entire archive is available here at the community site.

Other Benefits

 Focus Groups

AMS Services occasionaly creates focus groups to help work on the design of a new product or to revamp existing feature and processes.  They often ask PUG members to participate in these groups.

Special Conference Calls

As important events happen throughout the year, we will coordinate a special conference call for you to attend.  These "all-members" calls give us a way to get the same message directly from the source.

Community Web Site

This all new web site is designed to foster communication and sharing of information between PUG members.  New features will continue to become avaiable throughout the year.
